Good looks come from the harmony of features. Male or female, a pronounced jawline structure is fundamental for an attractive face, as it makes the face look more proportionate.
A chin implant surgery is an out-patient procedure that augments the shape and size of the jawline by placing implants near the chin bones to improve facial proportions and balance. It can be performed both as a cosmetic and reconstructive procedure.
Before the implants are placed inside the mouth, a small cut is made on either side of the inside of the cheeks or under the chin and a pocket is created for the implants. Surgery typically is performed under general or local anesthesia, and takes under an hour and after the incisions are closed, the face may be bandaged.
A qualified surgeon will ensure that you have the most natural-looking results, thanks to durable intraoral implants made from a biocompatible material, usually silicone, or real bone and fat tissue, your jaw and chin will feel similar to your natural chin bones while being more defined and attractive.

You might have to follow a liquid-only diet for a couple of days and carefully follow the specific instructions your surgeon gives you to get the best possible result. Recovery from chin implant surgery is usually painless but you might be instructed to use an ice compress if you start to experience mild pain.
You may go back to your desk job and other daily activities 7 days after your surgery. You should avoid strenuous activity for the first 3-4 weeks.
As the Malik Abaci team, we will ensure that you have gone through all the necessary health checkups before your surgery, and always be there for you during recovery to ensure you feel your best the whole time.
Aftercare is as important as the surgery itself when it comes to boosting the effects of the procedure.
Quitting smoking and drinking during the healing process are recommended, as smoking and alcohol intake might slow down the healing and potentially affect the surgery results.
Make sure you keep yourself propped up with multiple pillows while lying down or sleeping.
Make sure you do not sleep on your side to avoid the implants from possibly shifting.
Swelling is expected but it will start to go down after day 2 and 3, which are the most challenging. Just trust the process.
If necessary, your doctor may prescribe you painkillers.
Patience is key. A better you is on the way!
